AskAround Inc., a Silicon Valley startup, reports a "sneak preview" of its Wireless Web technology.
AskAround has developed powerful breakthrough technology to enable both the wireless Internet providers and the web sites that need to become mobile services.
"We're excited to preview this technology and the response on the floor from potential partners has been tremendous. Almost every 'dot com' company with us here at the show is planning or can envision a mobile version of their service and we can enable that," CEO Patrick Boyle said.
AskAround is one of 140 companies invited to Showcase, and will be one of 40 companies presenting on stage to the general session. At AskAround's booth 104, showcase attendees can enter a drawing for one of two new Neopoint NP1000 mobile smart phones.
On Thursday January 27th, CEO Patrick Boyle will offer a sneak peak at the AskAround technology and the status of the company during Showcase's "VC Theater". In VC Theater, venture capitalists from Silicon Valley will rate AskAround and other participants on viability of funding and business plan.
AskAround enables best of breed web partners easily and effortlessly to make their service mobile on wireless Internet devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, pagers and dedicated devices. AskAround's porting and translating solution requires no alteration of the partner's web sites or technical investment from the partner. It is very fast to implement with many simple applications ported in hours.
AskAround aggregates this content and functionality and syndicates it to providers of the wireless web such as Sprint (FON), BellSouth (BLS), or ATT (T).
