Ilium Software Releases eWallet 2.0 for Palm-Size, Handheld and Desktop PCs

Ilium Software(TM) today announced the release of eWallet(TM) 2.0 for Palm-size and Handheld PCs running Microsoft(R) Windows(R) CE, as well as for desktop and notebook PCs running Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT.

eWallet allows users to store and retrieve all their important personal information in a highly secure electronic wallet. Based on customer feedback from around the world, Ilium Software took the application that Pen Computing called "The killer handheld application" and increased the security, added additional built-in cards and card customization for increased personalization, and improved one-handed navigation on a Palm-size PC.

"We're really pleased with the response we've already received with this new version," says Ken Morse, President and CEO of Ilium Software. "Our customers tell us they appreciate that the software continues to be straightforward to use even with all the new features."

eWallet, the first commercial electronic wallet program for Windows CE, set the standard for portable electronic wallets and has won many industry awards since its first release, including a First Class Award from Mobile Computing and Communications Magazine, and PC Computing Magazine's 5-star designation. The new 2.0 version takes another leap forward in privacy and usability by increasing the built-in security to 56-bit key RC4 and by its use of custom graphics and sounds to better represent personal information. Additional logos and other graphics are available for download on Ilium Software's website. The Palm-size, Handheld, and Desktop versions are fully compatible to allow users to enter and view their wallets where and when it is most convenient for them and ActiveSync is used to keep the wallets synchronized.

eWallet is available for $29.95 on any one platform, and $10.00 for any added platform from Ilium Software and selected retailers and distributors worldwide. The company has also made their Enhanced Encryption Module, which uses 128-bit key RC4 technology, available to North American customers at no cost for a limited time. More information, including a 30-day free trial, can be found on Ilium Software's website, http://www.iliumsoft.com/wallet.htm.
