Nokia Expands the Nokia Artuse Messaging Platform For WAP Enabled Mobile Internet Access

Technology enables GSM, TDMA and now CDMA wireless operators to implement value added messaging services on top of their existing voice telephony

Nokia today announced the extension of its ground-breaking Nokia Artuse Messaging Platform to support CDMA networks. The Nokia Artuse Messaging Platform is a comprehensive WAP 1.1 compliant solution that enables operators to create interactive, value-added WAP and messaging applications for mobile users.

"Nokia offers operators what few others in the industry can: not only a WAP-enabled terminal, but also a complete WAP solution that includes WAP gateways, customized portals, tools for WAP-based content creation, security components, and systems integration services," says Steve Ballard, Director of Messaging & Service Platforms, Nokia Networks. "By expanding our Nokia Artuse Messaging Platform to include CDMA networks, we now offer CDMA operators an open architecture platform for creating a new revenue stream from value-added messaging services," he adds.
