Go2 Systems Joins SignalSoft's local.info Content Alliance

SignalSoft to Facilitate Delivery of Go2 Content to Wireless Phones Based on Location

Go2 Systems Inc., the originator of Go2(TM), the first global addressing and locator system designed for the Internet and portable devices, Wednesday announced a partnership with SignalSoft, a leading international applications developer of Wireless Location Services(R).

The goal of the partnership is to have Web-enabled wireless phones automatically recognize users' location while searching Go2's topic-specific Web sites to find business products and services near their location. Users can also obtain information such as turn-by-turn directions and store hours for the services nearest them, without having to input their location -- a significant enhancement for consumers using wireless location-based services.

Using SignalSoft's local.info(TM) application, Go2 will make its location-aware mobile content instantaneously accessible to wireless users. Upon the completion of technical integration, Go2 Systems and SignalSoft expect to market their joint capability extensively to wireless carriers.

"Go2's objective is to provide the most comprehensive location-based content available on all types of device platforms, including Web-enabled wireless phones. Go2's Web sites and patented technology are designed to automatically provide topic-specific information about real-world businesses located in the immediate area of the user," said Lee Hancock, president and founder of Go2 Systems.

"Our work with SignalSoft helps ensure that Go2 users are provided with the easiest way to take full advantage of Go2's enhanced real-world business database."

Using the keypad of an Internet-enabled phone, Go2 users can currently access a wide variety of location-based information from any of the more than 300 topic-specific Go2 Web sites, such as Go2coffee.com, Go2burgers.com and Go2banks.com and from brand-specific sites such as Go2johnnyrockets.com, Go2diedrich.com and Go2jiffylube.com.

With "hands-free" location recognition now available through the SignalSoft's local.info, safety and speed of information delivery is substantially increased.

Go2 and SignalSoft are working to integrate their respective products and services as a network-independent communications solution. Their alliance extends the addressable universe of mobile devices that operate on any wireless network -- CDMA, TDMA, GSM, iDEN, or AMPS.
