GolfNow.com, the most comprehensive golf resource on the Internet, announced today a breakthrough software component called Wireless GolfNow. Through this application, golfers around the world will have instant wireless access to book tee times, research more than 17,000 courses, track handicaps, view tour news and leader boards, purchase golf equipment and download maps, driving instructions and weather reports.
GolfNow.com is the first Web site to offer such a complete wireless service, establishing the company as the golf leader on the wireless Web. By simply downloading the software, which is available at no cost on the GolfNow.com Web site, and accessing the service using wireless device's such as 3Comm's Palm VII, visitors can download scorecards, score rounds and update this information into their online profile -- all from the golf course.
Wireless GolfNow also delivers golf news, updated hourly, allowing visitors to get timely leader board updates from professional golf events around the world -- all without turning on a computer or television. Other benefits of Wireless GolfNow are the ability to purchase equipment and do comparative shopping on the go.
