Nextron and ImpulseSale.com Announce Partnership to Deliver Web and Wireless E-commerce Solutions to the Telecommunications Industry

Nextron, a leading Silicon Valley-based Application Service Provider (ASP), will provide Web and wireless e-commerce solutions to the telecommunications industry through its strategic partnership with ImpulseSale.com. The joint announcement was made today at NTC 2000: New Technologies for Directory Publishers Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Nextron is a Sponsor of NTC 2000.

The new offering enables merchants to drive foot traffic and increase revenues by promoting time- and location-specific sales and promotions via the Internet. These promotions, which merchants can create on the spur of the moment, are automatically sent to interested ImpulseSale.com subscribers via email, wireless PDAs, or Internet-ready mobile phones. In addition, buyers can actively search an ImpulseSale.com-enabled Web site for promotions that match their interests.

Nextron offers software and service solutions that enable its partners to bundle Web products and services with their existing offerings and provide them under their own brands. Nextron's browser-interface software helps Yellow Page publishers efficiently manage all aspects of their Web-presence programs-from efficient site creation and fulfillment, to ongoing management, customer support, and billing.

"We are very excited about partnering with ImpulseSale.com to bring permission-based Web and wireless sales-generation technology to the telecommunications industry, particularly the traditional and Internet Yellow Page publishers," said Jeff Tablak, President and CEO of Nextron. "This solution enables directory sites and portals of all sizes to benefit from providing their merchants the opportunity to increase business through wireless sale promotions. And because the ImpulseSale promotion is remotely hosted, the burden of infrastructure investments and involvement by internal IT personnel and resources is virtually eliminated."

"ImpulseSale.com closes the loop between the Internet and traditional brick-and-mortar businesses. It brings the benefits of the Internet to both merchants and customers without requiring them to modify their purchasing behavior," said Nail Sudin, President of ImpulseSale.com, "With Nextron, we are now able to deploy this technology through telecommunications and Internet Yellow Pages companies, which are poised to become a leading avenue for bringing small businesses to Internet-based wireless and e-commerce solutions."

In addition to promotions, ImpulseSale.com brings together buyers looking for products and services with companies that want to provide those products and services. "Request-for-Bid" functionality enables customers to post requests for products or services, to which interested merchants can respond with bids sent directly to the customers.

"Our new generation of Internet and Wireless Promotion Solution is based on a remotely hosted application service provider model and on Nextron's highly flexible, functionally rich ICAS application platform, which makes prolonged implementation cycles a thing of the past," said Senior Vice President of North American Sales and Marketing at Nextron, Christopher Dress. "With this model, coupled with our Program Management approach, we can help our partners to produce new sales and revenue within 90 days of program start."
