PhoneOnline.com Joins Phone.com Alliance Program to Offer Secure Online Banking Services to Wireless Subscribers

PhoneOnline.com(TM), a software development and services company providing solutions for the wireless mobile Internet, has joined the Phone.com(TM) Alliance Program as an application developer. By promoting the integration of Internet and wireless technology, this alliance is designed to empower mobile phone subscribers to directly and instantly access banking information and complete transactions using their mobile phones' built-in UP Browser(TM) microbrowser from Phone.com and an exciting banking application from PhoneOnline.com.

PhoneOnline.com's premier service, ATMPhone(TM), provides subscribers with the ability to inquire about account information, transfer funds, review account activity and send internal bank email directly from their mobile phones. PhoneOnline.com is expected to unveil ATMPhone in April 2000.

"We look forward to working closely with Phone.com to introduce a new application that will change the way consumers access their banking and financial information," said Scanlon Putegnat, vice president of Sales and Marketing, PhoneOnline.com. "As pioneers in the development of online banking solutions using Internet-enabled phones, we recognize the value of Phone.com's unique microbrowser interface for linking mobile phone users to the Internet or corporate Intranets. Combining this interface with our ATMPhone service allows wireless carriers to support this banking application over their data networks."
