http://mopilot.com is the new name for wapmap.com. Offering enhanced features and a new design, the world's first wireless search-engine addresses consumers and professionals. mopilot.com enables wireless Internet users to facilitate and organize their personal data along with global information retrieval. Having both an HTML and a WAP/WML (Wireless Application Protocol/Wireless Markup Language) interface, mopilot.com is accessible by mobile phones and PDAs as well as by normal PCs with a standard Internet browser.
In addition to its new identity, mopilot.com today is extending its services for wired and unwired users. Along with an improved design, new search options have been implemented. Online statistics give an overview on running search-queries and the current relation between html and the mushrooming new wap/wml browsers.
As a special bonus, the current version of the popular WinWAP browser for PCs can be downloaded directly from the site. "WAP4.COM believes that the market for mobile information applications will outgrow the current PC market within the next two years," says Dieter Kneffel, Director of WAP4.COM. "Offering instant access to the thousands of wireless Internet sites to all users via mopilot's search engine will accelerate the growth of this market," Kneffel adds. In addition to the search engine, mopilot.com will also provide various content and regional news.
mopilot.com also announces its own portal as an extension to the existing messaging services. Currently under final testing and scheduled to go online within the next days, it is extending mopilot's leading position in mobile messaging. The user can individually set up a profile of his interests, of his favorite wap sites, and include personal information. Developed by WAP4.COM, the portal is well suited for messaging and information management within a corporate environment as well.
