Jacada Joins WAP Forum

Jacada Ltd. (NASDAQ: JCDA) today announced that it has joined the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP(TM)) Forum. Jacada provides a complete software infrastructure to rapidly transform business critical systems into e-business and wireless solutions and to empower enterprise developers to build Internet applications.

The WAP Forum, founded by Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia and Phone.com, is an international industry association of more than 350 companies dedicated to bringing together companies from all segments of the wireless community to ensure product interoperability and growth of the wireless market.

"Membership in the WAP Forum will allow Jacada to play an active role in influencing the development of the WAP specification standards", said David Holmes, senior vice president of marketing. "Our focus with Jacada Wireless on the corporate mobile users and their unique needs will help drive WAP specifications that meet the needs of business mobile computing."

Jacada(R) Wireless is a suite of solutions enabling corporations and business mobile users to access existing legacy applications and data. Jacada Wireless supports any WAP-enabled device such as mobile phones, as well as Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) such as the Palm VII(TM). It is targeted at corporations and business users, enabling remote users to easily access mainframe-based applications and data. For example, mobile sales executives can check order status or inventory, service personnel can update service requests and warranty data, and insurance agents can provide immediate price quotes and claim information.

Jacada Wireless is based on the same robust e-business infrastructure software that is in use today by major corporations such as AIG, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Caterpillar, and Porsche.
