Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch, Inc. (Nasdaq: TMCS), a leading local portal and transaction company, and Phone.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: PHCM), a leading provider of mobile Internet software, applications and services have agreed to work together to accelerate the deployment of in-depth local content and transaction capabilities via the mobile phone. TMCS will utilize the Phone.com™ WAP Software Developer's Kit, UP.SDK™, to optimize its local content for mobile phones manufactured by more than 25 leading handset manufacturers who use Phone.com's UP.Browser™ WAP microbrowser. Phone.com will encourage its network of more than 50 operator customers to work with TMCS to take advantage of localized wireless content in their service offerings.

"Phone.com will enable TMCS to create an ideal mobile user interface and enhance the quality of consumer experience for millions of wireless subscribers. "

"We expect that Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch will be the first company to allow consumers to buy tickets directly from the screen of a mobile phone," said Ben Linder, Vice President of Marketing for Phone.com. "With the development of the wireless Internet, TMCS' invaluable local information will be at your fingertips whether you are at your desk or on the go."
