AT&T Wireless Selects BarPoint as Featured Mobile Shopping Offering on the AT&T Digital PocketNet Service for Web-enabled Wireless Phones

Provides consumers with seamless access to UPC-based Internet information and shopping resource service

BarPoint.com, (OTC BB: BPNT) the authoritative source for mobile Internet shopping information, and AT&T Wireless Services (NYSE:AWE), have announced a partnership to offer BarPoint as a premier shopping service for AT&T's Digital PocketNet(sm) service which debuted yesterday. Using web-enabled phones from Ericsson and Mitsubishi, consumers will now have instant access to detailed product information from BarPoint with the touch of a button from the service's Shopping Channel.

"As a leader in the mobile shopping space, BarPoint provides a valuable shopping service for our customers," stated Kendra Vandermeulen, senior vice president, product development for AT&T Wireless Services. "BarPoint provides our customers with instant access to exactly the information they need, right when they need it."

AT&T Digital PocketNet(sm) service allows users to quickly, easily and economically access the Internet wirelessly through AT&T web-enabled phones. With the launch of the new service, AT&T is working with BarPoint, and other select content providers, to enable unlimited access to more than 40 websites specializing in e-commerce, information and entertainment services from mobile phones.

"The BarPoint service is designed to deliver the same type of compelling user experience on wireless phones as it does on desktop computers. Accessing BarPoint to obtain product information from AT&T's PocketNet service on a mobile phone is as easy as dialing a long distance phone number," stated John Macatee, CEO of BarPoint. "A key benefit is BarPoint's use of unique product identifiers such as a UPC number, rather than keywords, to deliver very specific, targeted results without needing to scroll through hundreds of mismatched links, allowing users to immediately locate the information they need to make an informed purchasing decision."

Through the partnership, AT&T Digital PocketNet subscribers will now have convenient access to BarPoint.com's unique, patent-pending reverse search technology from mobile phones. This will allow them to obtain product-specific information, competitive pricing and manufacturer information and will assist them in making more informed purchasing decisions.

Availability

BarPoint is available today on the AT&T Digital PocketNet service with the new Ericsson R280LX and the Mitsubishi MobileAccess T-250. Both phones contain the Phone.com micro-browser to access the Internet and both utilize the new Tegic T-9 "quick-type" key pads.

Try it for Yourself Using the Web

By entering or scanning in a product's unique barcode number, a consumer will find a wealth of product specific information. For example, to receive information on the album, Supernatural, by Santana, simply access BarPoint through its website (www.barpoint.com) or on your web-enabled mobile device, select the "Music" category and enter the UPC, i.e. 078221908023. This will return a page that includes detailed manufacturer contact and product information, competitive pricing from various sources and links that provide online purchasing capabilities.
