"This partnership will allow PACCAR to provide its customers with the dynamic InfoMove traffic information they need to navigate their routes with safety and ease," said Peter Holland, president and chief executive officer of InfoMove. "PACCAR is taking the lead in providing functional wireless Internet applications to its customers on the road."

"This exciting venture will increase the efficiency of the industry. Additional applications that may be offered include e-mail and vehicle diagnostics and maintenance as well as other vehicle information," said Tom Plimpton, PACCAR executive vice president.

"PACCAR has demonstrated its technological leadership within the industry in terms of its products, systems and embrace of e-commerce. The company's detailed knowledge of the industry and technology, coupled with InfoMove's solution for establishing a wireless systems application, will create a powerful force in the commercial vehicle industry," said Mark C. Pigott, PACCAR's chairman and chief executive officer.

"PACCAR's e-commerce strategy is to proactively address systems and applications that can readily be transferred into customer-enhanced products, additional service offerings and state-of-the-art design and manufacturing processes. Our partnership with InfoMove certainly fits within the framework of that strategy," he added.

PACCAR's innovative and leading-edge use of information technology (IT) earned the company the number one ranking in PC Week magazine's 1999 Fast-Track 500, which ranks 500 companies from a spectrum of industries based on their use of technologies applied to their business framework.

InfoMove has developed strategic relationships with industry-leading organizations to create this unique platform that integrates Global Positioning System (GPS), wireless and Internet technologies.
