Information Architects and iSportsMedia Provide Real-Time Indy 500 Race Data Directly to Wireless Enabled Palm Handhelds

Information Architects (iA; NASDAQ:IARC), today announced its partnership with iSportsMedia to demonstrate the power of Web-enabled wireless devices at the Indy 500. The Indy Racing League, for the first time, will provide real-time race data to select Indy 500 fans through OmniSky wireless-enabled Palm V(TM) handhelds.

"The Indy 500 is recognized worldwide as `The Greatest Spectacle in Racing' and our involvement in adding this new dimension to the fan experience is very exciting," said Robert Gruder, CEO of iA. "We are at the dawn of a new age, with wireless technology, and iA is uniquely positioned to help organizations wirelessly enable their information. Our partnership with iSportsMedia to deliver real-time racing data to fans at the Indy 500 is a great opportunity for iA to demonstrate our capability to wirelessly enable multiple types of information."

Powered by iA's patented Metaphoria Framework, fans attending the 84th Indianapolis 500 will not only see the excitement, they will access timing and scoring data on any driver at any point in the race. iA uniquely provides easy and flexible access to data and applications across the Net without having to convert existing data into compatible formats for redistribution in other applications. At Indy, iA's Metaphoria software will transform existing banks of race data into usable information that reaches fans within seconds. In addition, fans will also be able to access information about the drivers, teams, the Indy Racing Northern Light Series standings, series sponsors, ESPN Sports and weather.

"Up until now, race fans have had limited information about drivers outside the top five. Even the updates on the top five drivers had a considerable lag time before it reached race fans. With the new service provided by iSportsMedia, the tradition of the Indy Racing League's excitement will be taken to a new level," said Rob Shuster, spokesman for iSportsMedia. "We are planning to bring real-time fan interaction to many other types of sporting events in the near future. iSportsMedia is proud to break new ground at the Indy 500 with Information Architects and on this new facet in sports entertainment."
