MapQuest.com Teams With OmniSky to Offer Wireless Real-Time Traffic Reports and Driving Directions to Omnisky Subscribers

MapQuest.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: MQST), a leading provider of wireless and online destination information, will offer wireless real-time traffic reports along with driving directions on handheld devices through a new service from OmniSky Corporation, provider of a complete wireless Internet service, entirely wireless on handheld devices such as the Palm V. MapQuest will provide real-time traffic reports and door-to-door directions for 59 U.S. cities to OmniSky users with a Palm V and an OmniSky Minstrel(TM) modem.

"Our alliance with OmniSky provides users with the ability to access MapQuest's real-time traffic reports and driving directions through the OmniSky service, helping them save valuable time and more easily navigate their day."

Since May 1999, MapQuest.com has also been the exclusive provider of driving directions for the Palm VII (TM) organizer, a wireless handheld computing product from Palm Computing, Inc., a 3Com company (Nasdaq: COMS).
