MobileLogic, a provider of complete wireless business solutions, today introduced a suite of services and applications essential to the deployment of secure wireless access to corporate data. MobileLogic, which recently secured $25M in first-round funding led by CMGI @Ventures and Investcorp, offers an integrated suite of products, which encompasses all the components of a wireless solution, from consulting services to solutions deployment and support of wireless data devices from PDAs and WAP phones to laptops. MobileLogic's customized solutions help companies increase out-of-office productivity, establish a mobile business model, and optimize sales and field force automation.
MobileLogic consultants assess the individual corporate need for wireless data solutions to ensure a custom deployment that matches the needs of a corporation's employees and business customers. After a wireless strategy is developed, MobileLogic packages all the components, which may include Palm(TM) handheld computer products, Windows(R) CE devices, RIM Wireless Handhelds(TM), WAP-enabled phones and laptops, into a simple wireless solution. As part of this fully integrated solution, MobileLogic handles all airtime contracts, billing, and roaming charges for the business customer.
"In a market flooded with many wireless ISPs and various mobile devices, companies are in search of a strategy that simplifies the complex task of integrating wireless solutions, from networks and security to devices and applications. MobileLogic's wireless data solutions fulfill a critical business need for corporations looking to take advantage of the many benefits of going wireless," said James Altucher, CEO and founder of MobileLogic. "MobileLogic is helping companies define their wireless data strategy to keep them from being left behind, as many companies were in deploying their e-commerce strategies."
MobileLogic's growing product suite enables rapid deployment of wireless data solutions. MobileLogic utilizes a variety of devices, underlying system architectures and connections to create a matrix of available solutions. The company's current offerings use MobileLogic's Wireless Virtual Private Network(SM) to provide a single architecture to connect multiple devices to various enterprise applications. These include:
- MobileLogic Web(TM) - provides wireless Internet access through a laptop;
- MobileLogic BackOffice(TM) - provides access to Microsoft(R) Exchange, files and other stored content on corporate Intranets or the Internet;
- MobileLogic Enterprise(TM) - provides access to corporate database applications including sales force automation tools and inventory control;
- MobileLogic Phone(TM) - enables secure access to corporate email via a WAP-enabled phone;
- MobileLogic Palm(TM) - enables access to corporate data via a Palm device and also optimizes existing websites for Palm access; and
- Support for RIM Wireless Handhelds.
"We are the only company that provides a one-stop-shop for wireless data solutions across all market segments," said Altucher. "Our agnostic approach enables us to develop and implement a mobile data solutions strategy to meet the needs of all remote workers, from field engineers and salespeople to corporate end-users."
Pricing and availability of MobileLogic's products and services are dependent on customer needs.
