Working towards the common goal of promoting the business benefits of wireless computing, MobileLogic today announced a software licensing agreement with Aether Software, the products division of Aether Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: AETH).
Under the agreement, MobileLogic will offer customers the ability to securely "mobilize" web content for Palm handheld devices using Aether Software's ScoutWeb(TM) in MobileLogic's Network Operations Center (NOC). Additionally, MobileLogic will provide strategic consulting services to customers and will serve as a participating partner and exhibitor at Aether Software's seminar series entitled "Powering Your Mobile Enterprise."
This agreement adds a standardized service to MobileLogic's current solutions set, enabling the company to quickly develop and implement Palm-based wireless data solutions for its business customers. MobileLogic will also help Aether Software's customers develop and implement wireless remote access strategies to provide faster implementation and greater customization of solutions.
"Our partnership with MobileLogic will extend our product reach within the booming wireless market," said Larry Roshfeld, senior vice president of products at Aether Software. "By applying their Wireless Virtual Private Network (WVPN) technology to our software, MobileLogic ensures secure wireless services for Palm devices, which is central to bringing wireless data to the forefront of business computing."
"By helping Aether Software's customers develop and implement wireless remote access and mobile commerce strategies, we not only add value to their wireless solutions, but extend our customer base as well," said James Altucher, CEO and founder of MobileLogic. "This partnership leverages our complementary expertise towards the advancement of wireless business computing."
Aether Software's "Powering Your Mobile Enterprise" wireless enterprise computing seminar series, targeted for business leaders, IT professionals, integrators, consultants and value-added resellers, is being led by several of Aether Software's senior executives.
