Fourelle Systems Inc. Tuesday announced that MobileUSA, a wireless data integrator and service provider for AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless and GTE Wireless, has chosen Venturi, Fourelle's dynamic content acceleration solution for optimizing its customers' wireless Internet connections.
MobileUSA will use Fourelle's patent-pending web acceleration technology to boost real time wireless performance for mobile PCs.
Venturi improves the performance of web-browsing, e-mail and file transfers, as data is compressed and decompressed in real time, thereby reducing the amount of actual data transmitted across the wireless network. Using Venturi, performance of wireless modems can be enhanced up to 300%.
In addition to employing an efficient over-the-air data protocol, Venturi provides an effective image compression mechanism that significantly reduces the time in downloading complex web pages on wireless data networks including CDPD, GSM, CDMA, TDMA and others.
