Starfish and Motorola Launch TrueSync Enabled ACCOMPLI Phone in China

Motorola Deploys Next Generation Wireless-Internet Phone Powered by Starfish's TrueSync Technology

Starfish Software, a leading supplier of wireless Internet solutions for the Connected Information Device market and Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT), announced today the availability of Starfish's globally acclaimed TrueSync® technology for the new Motorola ACCOMPLI™ A6188 phone.

This new solution delivers seamless one-step synchronization of calendar and contacts with the Motorola ACCOMPLI A6188 phone and other popular devices, desktop PIMs, and web based calendars and address books. This next-generation wireless phone, featuring built-in TrueSync technology for optimum synchronization and TrueSync Plus PC software in the box, allows wireless consumers throughout Asia to now enter information once and access it on the go, giving them the confidence that the information at their fingertips is always up-to-date.

With the adoption of the wireless Internet in Asia, mobile professionals demand instant access to their personal and business information. Datacomm Research forecasts, by 2003, shipments of "smart" phones and handheld Internet devices will exceed 350 million units (1999).

The ACCOMPLI A6188 phone is a silver, compact, large-screen personal wireless device based on the GSM platform. The WAP- enabled Motorola ACCOMPLI A6188 phone features Internet and other network functions, allowing mobile users to visit Internet websites through wireless access servers (browse Chinese/English websites), and apply other interactive functions, e.g. e-commerce, sending and receiving e-mails, information on demand, and tailored Internet and intranet information services, touch-screen backlit display, pen-based QuickPrint® handwriting recognition technology and powerful PIM functionality, including up to 1,000 phone book/address book entries, English/Chinese dictionary, standard calendar, and world clock.

The ACCOMPLI A6188 is expected to ship in (1)Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English and includes TrueSync Plus PC software, a leading Synchronization engine and Starfish's desktop multi-point synchronization application for a complete end-to-end solution.
