Undergroundfilm.com Offers Films-On-the-Go Via ActiveSky Technology

Choice Indie Film Site to Be Accessible On Wireless Web

The acclaimed independent film Web site Undergroundfilm.com today announced that a selection of its catalogue of short films will be available to wireless Web users beginning in June, 2000.

Utilizing the ActiveSky(TM) Media Player, available via download from the Internet, Pocket PC and other Web-enabled personal digital assistant (PDA) users will be able to download and view entire films from Undergroundfilm.com.

"Making entertainment available on handheld devices is the next natural step in our distribution strategy. Consumers want to be entertained how, when and where they want and ActiveSky lets us accommodate them easily," said Undergroundfilm.com CEO Mike Kelly.

ActiveSky debuted the Media Player last month at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Convention in Las Vegas. Days later, the company teamed with Microsoft as a product partner in launching the Windows-powered Pocket PC. Undergroundfilm.com now joins ActiveSky in delivering entertainment directly to the PocketPC and other PDAs.

"Undergroundfilm.com has the 'edgy' content that people want to take with them to show and share," said ActiveSky CEO Scott Marquardt. "Making this possible is what ActiveSky brings to the picture. Stay tuned for an explosion in the mobile domain."

The ActiveSky Media Player is free and can be downloaded directly from the site at http://www.activesky.com. Pocket PC and Windows CE versions of the software are now available, with Palm and EPOC versions to follow in the coming weeks.
