Visa and CyberBills Partner for Wireless Payments; Alliance Will Develop 'Anytime, Anywhere' Payment Solutions

Visa U.S.A., the world's leading payment company and CyberBills, the pioneer in total bill management, today announced a partnership to offer consumers convenient, cost-effective, and secure wireless bill payment services. Together, Visa and CyberBills will jointly market applications for mobile phones and hand-held devices to enable 'anytime, anywhere' bill payment transactions via the Internet.

The explosive growth in mobile phone use has created a burgeoning market for wireless bill payment and presentment. Today, Industry analysts at the Yankee Group project that Internet-enabled phone users will reach 48 million worldwide by 2002 and 204 million by 2005. Visa and CyberBills are seizing the opportunity to make every handheld device a payment vehicle.

Time-pressed consumers can access the new wireless service through StatusFactory.com, the consumer site created by CyberBills, this summer. As a result of CyberBills partnerships with both Visa and Aether Systems, Inc., consumers will benefit from the following conveniences:

-- Bill consolidation -- Storing all bill information at the secure StatusFactory.com Web site taking the hassle out of tracking bills as they arrive month to month.

-- Payment flexibility -- Selecting how, when and where to pay bills, either from a wireless phone, a PDA device such as a Palm Pilot, or directly from a personal computer giving consumers flexibility and financial control. Customers can also choose to pay bills on a recurring basis or individually as they occur.

-- Payment options -- Catering to all types of payment relationships, including person-to-person payments and business-to-business transactions, StatusFactory.com can meet a variety of payment needs.

-- Record keeping -- Paying bills with Visa creates efficient record tracking with monthly and annual statements.
