@Road Adds Expanded Messaging Capabilities to Its Internet-Based Mobile Resource Management Solution

Messaging, Mobile Data Terminal and Keyboard Now Available for @Road FleetASAP Subscribers

@Road(SM) Inc., a leading Internet information services company that provides location-enhanced wireless Internet solutions for mobile commerce, Friday announced the availability of new messaging services designed to complement its mobile resource management solution, FleetASAP(SM).

Launched in 1998, FleetASAP offers location to within 30 meters, monitoring, messaging, reporting and scheduling capabilities for businesses with fleet vehicles. FleetASAP is powered by @Road's patented LocationSmart(TM) technology platform, which combines technologies such as Global Positioning Systems (GPS), wireless communications, the Internet and XML technologies into a fully integrated network designed to support the delivery of location-enhanced, fully integrated mobile commerce solutions.

FleetASAP Messaging Basic and Messaging Plus, and the new iDT 2500 Internet Data Terminal and optional keyboard are designed to provide FleetASAP subscribers with expanded messaging and communication capabilities. The new offering includes:

-- Messaging Basic: Enables two-way, free-text messaging between the dispatcher and driver, as well as the ability to select pre-programmed, user-defined messages. Messaging Basic also features the ability to generate online and/or downloadable reports of outbound and inbound messages, each stamped with location-specific information.

-- Messaging Plus: Includes all the features of Messaging Basic, with the addition of user-defined forms, which can be used in the field to complete and send out items such as invoices, receipts and order forms. Online, downloadable reporting capabilities include reports on all forms sent and received, sorted by vehicle, and work flow status reports, which provide real-time status of all fleet vehicles.

-- iDT 2500 and Keyboard: New Internet Data Terminal supports Messaging Basic and Messaging Plus, and features three serial ports to support peripherals, including the optional keyboard.
