New media company Kuulalaakeri is introducing the market its Unix *based, expandable WAP gateway. The second product of Kuulalaakeri mobile unit is the Kuulalaakeri WAP Gateway. The Gateway is suitable for both the operators and corporate, and can be used to develop wireless services to WAP enabled devices, like mobile phones. Thus the operators are able to offer their own clients versatile services that provide added value. WAP Gateway enables, for example, the delivery of the wireless Internet in the mobile phones.

Diverse services suppliers could use the Kuulalaakeri WAP Gateway to develop and accomplish the link needed between the content producers and WAP -mobile phone users. The worldwide markets of these kinds of products are just about to be formed. Out product has immediately created interest around Europe and as well as outside, among others, in Singapore," announces Tim Olin, the CEO of Kuulalaakeri.
Kuulalaakeri WAP Gateway operates on Unix platform. Unix-based servers have more capacity, are easily expandable than Windows-based servers. Performance and expandability were the basis development tools, for they are considered to be important characters, for example by the operator clients.
WAP Gateway strengthens the Kuulalaakeri mobile product group. In April Kuulalaakeri launched its SMS Gateway, which can be used, among others, to provide versatile news services, alarm functions, weather and traffic reporting services, and supportive frequent customer services.
Kuulalaakeri starts delivering the WAP Gateway in the autumn.
