NQL Solutions Launches New Version of StockVue 2000

Now Supports WAP-Enabled Smart Phones and Palm VII, Targeting Mobile Professional Market; Text-to-Speech Capability, Real-Time Stock Quotes and Alerts Also Available

The NQL Solutions(TM) division of AlphaServ.com(TM) (Nasdaq:ALMI) is bringing wireless communication support, faster user access and other advanced features to StockVue(R) 2000 Plus, the fifth generation of an intelligent agent-driven online portfolio management and investment planning application.

NQL Solutions is a business-to-business infrastructure company, using its own Network Query Language(TM) as its core development platform.

The new service is powered in part with stock market data from Lycos Finance and Lycos' Quote.com online financial destination. StockVue 2000 has grown exponentially -- delivering millions of page impressions to the Quote.com site over the past year thus increasing the company's ad revenue share potential with Lycos, according to Denny Michael, vice president of marketing at NQL Solutions.

AlphaServ.com and Lycos (Nasdaq:LCOS) will continue with the current structure of their successful multi-year strategic alliance, while expanding joint participation in new marketing programs and technology initiatives for StockVue 2000 Plus.

"We are pleased with our relationship with NQL and its technologies. StockVue is a top tier performer in terms of its ability to attract and maintain users," said Mike Armistead, vice president and general manager of Lycos Finance and Quote.com. "The new features have the potential to further increase traffic to the Lycos site."

The most immediate beneficiaries of the product enhancements are StockVue 2000 users, who will be upgraded automatically to the new version and new customers, who can download the application at no charge from NQL Solutions' Web site (www.nqlsolutions.com).

StockVue 2000 Plus also provides support for WAP-enabled smart phones and the Palm VII Connected Organizer, opening the application to the mobile professional market for the first time.

Other new features include real-time stock quotes and text-to-speech capabilities, by which an agent character reads alerts that are preset according to user-selected criteria.

"The success of StockVue is a testimony to NQL's ease-of-use in creating customized, personal information portals for individual and/or corporate users," Michael continued. "StockVue is both a highly effective investment application and a glimpse into the future of how individuals and businesses are going to master Web information content."

StockVue 2000 is already widely recognized for its effectiveness in stock tracking, portfolio management, alert options, research and discussion forum access and integration with Microsoft Office. StockVue's intelligent agents traverse the Internet and cross multiple platforms to collect and personalize content from leading financial information sources, general news agencies and company Web sites.

Agents work continuously in the background while other applications are running or even when the computer is unattended. When they find a specified topic or meet criteria previously defined, they are programmed to provide either an audio or visual alert, send an e-mail or fax notification, or contact a pager or Palm VII device.

The StockVue user-interface enables simplified access to news updates, filings, market guide, transactions, research, trade (with a URL to an online broker) and alerts by selecting the appropriate tab.

Users can enter the names of specific companies or ticker symbols for tracking and managing their personal portfolio, including calculation of profit and loss statements on individual or collective investments. Information may also be exported to a Word file, Excel, Quicken or other formats.
