OfficeDomain, Glenarye Technologies Enable Complete Wireless Message Management on Handspring Visor

Strategic Relationship Gives Users Send, Receive, Manage Capabilities for Email, Voice Mail and Fax Messages

OfficeDomain, (www.officedomain.com) the technology leader in Internet-based communications and Glenayre Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:GEMS), a developer and provider of leading-edge unified communications systems, today announced a strategic relationship that will provide customers using Handspring's (Nasdaq:HAND) handheld computer unprecedented voice mail, fax, and email message management capabilities.

Designed for Handspring's Visor Springboard expansion slot, Glenayre's new @ctiveLink module enables two-way wireless messaging and Internet access directly from the unit. OfficeDomain has developed a full-featured @ctiveLink version of MessageASAP, its integrated Internet communications software suite. With these products Visor users can receive automatic alerts when any new message arrives; manage voice messages; and send, receive, and manage e-mail and fax messages at any time and from any place. MessageASAP technology does not require users change phone numbers or adopt new email addresses.

An @ctiveLink and MessageASAP equipped Visor is being demonstrated at PC Expo being held June 27-29 in New York City's Jacob Javits Center (booth No. 642).

"OfficeDomain and Glenayre's collaboration is going to spark a fundamental change in the way people communicate by unleashing the full capabilities of Internet communications technology and wireless devices," said Doug Pushard, President and CEO of OfficeDomain. "Individuals receiving brief messages on wireless pagers was just a beginning. What we are demonstrating today is the capability to receive, send, and control a variety of messages, real-time, on a single hand-held wireless device. Communications technology is now fully untethered."

"Utilizing MessageASAP, the @ctiveLink module will provide Visor users with excellent message management capabilities, creating a new way for active people to communicate wirelessly," stated Jim Kelly, Senior Vice President -- Chief Marketing Officer at Glenayre. "Additionally, the @ctiveLink has Always @ctive(tm) connectivity -- so it is always linked to the network and ready to use and operates using ReFLEX two-way wireless data networks, which provide the broadest nationwide coverage and superior building penetration, ensuring that users can access their messages any time, any where."

Unified messaging industry analyst, Peter Davidson, of Davidson Consulting said, "OfficeDomain's robust suite of message management products has transitioned extremely well from the personal computer to the newest Internet information appliance -- the wireless PDA. Where other players in the unified messaging space have carved out specific niches, OfficeDomain has addressed the full spectrum of available messaging technologies. MessageASAP, a free product constituting the core of OfficeDomain's impressive product line, provides users the ability to receive virtually any kind of message using a single platform and to respond from the same platform in a manner that is appropriate to the recipient."
