Leading Online Investment Information Services Provider to Offer Brokerages Wireless Trading Capabilities Using w-Trade Technologies' Solutions

w-Trade Technologies, a leading provider of mobile business applications, today announced a partnership with hemscott.NET, a leading UK-based online business and investment information services provider.

In partnership with w-Trade Technologies, hemscott.NET will offer brokerages throughout the UK access to hemscott.NET content and wireless trading on virtually any handheld mobile device.

The service, called hemscott WIRELESS, will allow online brokers to offer their customers the ability to buy and sell stocks, receive personalized news updates, conduct research, and review their portfolios from a variety of mobile devices that include: WAP-enabled mobile phones; PDAs, including the entire family of Palm, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: PALM) personal organizers and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows CE-based handheld computers; SMS pagers and phones; Psion organizers; and Symbian-based wireless devices.

"The high forecast growth rate in both online trading and wireless Internet access indicate that the mobile trading market is primed for take-off," said Ros Wilton, CEO of hemscott.NET. "w-Trade Technologies has been providing wireless technology solutions to companies for more than two years, and this partnership places hemscott.NET in a perfect position to take advantage of these exciting opportunities."

Based on w-Trade Technologies' patent-pending wireless technology platform, hemscott WIRELESS will allow participating brokerage houses to offer their customers the ability to individually tailor their wireless services. Users can select a personal stock "watch list," enabling them to track news and market changes affecting their pre-selected portfolio, and then place trades in a secure environment.

Content will include information such as major stock moves, profits warnings and breaking stories on a company's corporate activity, all of which will come from hemscott.NET's highly-respected web site. hemscott.NET has more than 800,000 users across its range of financial and information services.
