AnywhereYouGo.com (www.anywhereyougo.com), the most widely used resource dedicated to wireless application development, is expanding its coverage of wireless security through an agreement with Cellular Networking Perspectives Ltd., a wireless networks and security publisher based in Calgary, Alberta. The agreement will provide AnywhereYouGo.com with additional coverage and analysis of wireless security topics.
Under the agreement, AnywhereYouGo.com will draw upon material from Wireless Security Perspectives, a subscription newsletter that presents articles by recognized technical experts in the security field, and Cellular Networking Perspectives, a monthly bulletin covering wireless standards and technology, with a particular focus on network level issues. David Crowe, a wireless industry consultant and journalist, heads Cellular Networking Perspectives Ltd. Wireless Security Perspectives is edited and published in conjunction with wireless technology consultant Les Owens.
"We are pleased to be partnering with Cellular Networking Perspectives Ltd. to help improve technical training and support for developers in this critical area," said Lee Wright, CEO, AnywhereYouGo.com. "Cellular Networking Perspectives Ltd. will be contributing articles and content from both of its respected publications and developing content exclusively for our members. They will also work closely with us to provide direction to our editorial and technical teams."
"Security is no longer an issue that wireless network designers, developers and operators can take for granted," Mr. Crowe stated. "As mobile commerce becomes a reality and consumers begin shopping, banking and trading securities from cellular phones and other wireless devices, attention will be turned to security as never before. We've dedicated ourselves to addressing these issues with clear and easily understandable articles that offer technically accurate and unbiased information. We're excited that we can expand the reach of our work by partnering with AnywhereYouGo.com."
Mr. Crowe's articles have appeared in major telecommunications industry publications and he has been a consultant to numerous major wireless organizations including AT&T Wireless, Compaq, Alcatel, Agilent and CTIA. He has been involved in development of wireless telecom technology and standards since 1984.
Les Owens, who jointly publishes Wireless Security Perspectives, is an internationally recognized expert in telecommunications security with multiple patents on methods for fraud control, cryptography and network security. He has worked with a number of major wireless organizations, including GTE, AT&T Wireless and Nortel.
