Network security expert AppGate(TM), announced that it has acquired Mindbright Technology, providers of Java-based security solutions. This agreement will enhance AppGate's total solution by providing mobile wireless equipment users, with secure access to information.
AppGate is the first security solution that combines a powerful policy-based system to manage individual access to specific information. With the integration of MindTerm, AppGate can now offer a completely portable client that works on all operating systems with Java support. This technology is necessary for access to applications when using mobile phones and PDAs. It is also important for the increasing use of thin clients and in the evolution of the Application Service Provider (ASP) market.
AppGate provides access management to specific applications for international companies. When accessing information wirelessly, businesses can feel confident that the information is secure from unauthorized viewers.
