MDeverywhere and Millbrook Corporation Form Strategic Alliance to Deliver Handheld Tools to Physicians

Partnership matches leader in mobile charge capture technology with Microsoft award-winning practice management provider

MDeverywhere(TM), the mobile computing platform providing healthcare solutions at the point-of-care, announced it has formed a strategic alliance with Millbrook Corporation, one of the nation's leading practice management software providers.

The strategic alliance will integrate Millbrook's administrative/financial software system, Millbrook Paradigm(TM), with MDeverywhere's EveryChargeSM service to allow physicians to capture diagnoses, treatments and other billing information on handheld devices as they visit each patient, reducing errors and paperwork and streamlining the billing process. Other services, including dictation, order entry and prescription, will be integrated this summer.

Since 1993, Millbrook Paradigm has been the practice management solution of choice for thousands of physicians. Millbrook Paradigm was built from the ground up exclusively on the Microsoft Windows NT/2000 operating system with SQL Server. This means physician organizations can quickly and affordably upgrade to the fastest, most flexible and easiest to use computing environment in the healthcare industry. It has been designed to be regulatory compliant, and is also Microsoft BackOffice certified. Millbrook Paradigm was selected as the best medical practice management system running on Windows NT and SQL Server in 1997, 1998 and again in 1999 by the Microsoft Healthcare Users Group (MS-HUG). Millbrook is the only company to have received this prestigious award for three consecutive years.

"The ability for the EveryCharge solution to provide a real return-on-investment for our clients makes the decision to partner with MDeverywhere a smart one," says Neil Simon, Millbrook Corporation's vice president of operations.

"Microsoft's recognition of Millbrook is a testament to the quality of their service," says MDeverywhere President and CEO Alan Rubin. "Their software is already being used by more than 3,500 physicians nationwide. Millbrook is, without a doubt, a perfect fit for MDeverywhere."

Rubin anticipates that physicians already being served by Millbrook will begin using the handheld charge capture tool as early as this fall. The alliance has the potential to bring several thousand physicians on-line.
