Mercator and AvantGo Extend E-Business Applications to Mobile Devices

Mercator E-Business Broker Suite Integrates Internet, Intranet and Extranet Data and Applications with Handheld Devices and Internet-enabled Phones

Mercator(R) Software, Inc., (NASDAQ: MCTR) the e-business transformation company(tm), and AvantGo(tm), a mobile Internet company, today announced an agreement through which the companies will deliver complementary solutions that extend Web and server-based e-business applications to mobile devices. The integration of Mercator's E-Business Broker Suite with AvantGoEnterprise(tm) is designed to enable end users to access corporate data, applications and transaction services, regardless of the information's format, from handheld devices and Internet-enabled phones. With Mercator technology and AvantGo Enterprise, organizations can quickly and easily mobilize their existing enterprise applications, such as SAP(tm) and PeopleSoft(tm), as well as legacy applications.
