MobileQ, Inc. Adds Key Senior Managers; Company Ramps Up to Deliver Unique Mobile Software Solution to Enterprises

MobileQ, Inc., a developer of unique enterprise software that mobilizes business applications, today announced a series of senior level management appointments designed to accelerate its success in wireless e-business enablement.

The company named Robert Q. Berlin, former chief financial officer and vice president of strategic planning for New Haven, CT-based DSL.net, Inc. as its chief financial officer; Andrew H. Boyland, former president and director of New York City-based Automated Travel Systems, Inc., as senior vice president of corporate development; and Paul H. Liddy, former director of sales and marketing of New York City-based FileNET Corporation, as senior director of sales.

MobileQ is filling its senior management ranks with seasoned technology executives as it prepares to aggressively market its flagship product, XMLEdge(TM), which enables companies in the telecommunications, financial services, transportation, and health care industries, among others, to extend their reach to mobile workers and customers.

"We've assembled a dynamic management team with a proven track record in building successful technology businesses," said Vish Canaran, founder and chief executive officer, MobileQ, Inc.

"The emerging world of wireless mobility is profoundly different from the wired world," he said. "Mobile users want to work, not browse. Companies need a wireless solution that leverages their existing information technology architecture and applications while enabling them to deliver information to mobile employees and customers in ways that provide them a unique, contextual experience. MobileQ's XMLEdge provides companies with a fast, easy and secure way of delivering any application to any device while optimizing the functions and features of the device itself."

Mr. Berlin brings substantial experience to MobileQ in financial and business management for growing companies. At DSL.net, Inc., he led capital generation efforts that succeeded in raising several hundred million dollars of public and private equity and developed the company's strategic relationships with Microsoft, IBM, Staples, and ADP, among others. He previously served as a managing director at GE Capital Corporation and Rice, Sangalis, Toole, & Wilson, a private equity firm.

As MobileQ's senior vice president, corporate development, Andrew H. Boyland will have responsibility to grow the company into a global powerhouse in the mobile software industry, with a focus on sales and business development growth. He brings to this challenge a strong operations background and experience implementing corporate change in various technology firms, including Cheyenne Software, Inc. Prior to joining MobileQ, he served as president & director at Automated Travel Systems, Inc., where his restructuring efforts were instrumental in growing revenues by over 40% per year over two years, and increasing shareholder value by over $30 million in one year.

Mr. Liddy, MobileQ's new senior director of sales, built his sales and marketing reputation during his nine-year tenure at AT&T, where he eventually became a division manager responsible for sales strategy and execution in AT&T's e-commerce practice. As a sales and marketing director for the Network Services Division at IBM, Mr. Liddy managed a worldwide sales team for the Banking and Securities marketplace. Most recently, he held the position of vice president of sales and marketing for the Financial Services Unit of FileNET Corp.

The three new executives join MobileQ CEO Vish Canaran, chief technology officer Jesse Perla, senior vice president of product development Lalit Canaran, and vice president of engineering David Seaman.
