PhoneOnline.com, Advertising.com to Deploy WAP Advertising for B2B Customers

Alliance Creates First Specific B2B WAP Ad Space for Sale in North America

PhoneOnline.com, a leading wireless software development and professional services firm, and Advertising.com, Inc., a new media advertising and technology company, have joined forces to provide WAP-based advertising solutions for mobile work forces via handheld internet-enabled devices.

"The wireless revolution is upon us, and the next wave of digital advertising is hitting--it's already happening in Europe and Japan," said Terry Marsh, PhoneOnline.com chief executive officer. "Together with Advertising.com, we're ready to deliver WAP advertising and promotional services here in North America."

Under the terms of the agreement, PhoneOnline.com will market the wireless advertising service to customers, and publish the advertising and promotional material on the WAP sites they host. Advertising.com will aggregate advertisers, supply the Wireless Markup Language (WML) encoding advertisements to sites, and deliver extremely targeted messages using its proprietary Ad-OS(TM) (Advertising Operating System), a next generation delivery system.

"PhoneOnline.com has impressed us with their conversion of legacy data to WAP format and wireless accessibility; it's a perfect complement to our advanced WAP delivery technology," said John Ferber, co-founder and chief Internet officer of Advertising.com. "We are confident that our partnership will help us line-up advertisers who want to target very specific, vertical markets."

According to Marsh, PhoneOnline.com's clients recommend their business partners as potential advertisers on their WAP site. These prior relationships ensure that the targeted messages deliver value and convenience to the end user.

"Advertising.com's ad delivery technology is attractive to our clients," Marsh said. "The beauty of this advertising method is B2B customers will only be targeted with promotions and marketing messages of products and services that add value to their business."

In addition, the companies will provide an advertising-subsidized package as a service to new and existing clients. The service will provide wireless content delivery at a discount to those who agree to allow marketing messages to be delivered to their wireless devices.

PhoneOnline.com plans to quickly expand this service to offer location-based advertising, as the technology becomes available.
