Chapura Licenses Microsoft Exchange Synchronization Technology to AvantGo

Software Enables Enterprises to Synchronize Mobile Devices with E-mail, Calendar and Other Corporate Data

Chapura(R), Inc., a developer of software for Palm(TM) platform handheld devices, today announced that it has licensed its Microsoft(R) Exchange(R) and Palm platform synchronization technology to AvantGo, Inc., providers of mobile infrastructure software and services that extend Internet and corporate applications beyond the desktop to handheld devices. Chapura's software synchronizes e-mail, calendar and other personal information management (PIM) data between a Microsoft Exchange server and devices used by business travelers.

"Business professionals are busier than ever, which is why most enterprises today are interested in providing mobile extensions to their corporate e-mail and schedules," said Keith Ellenberg, chief operating officer of Chapura. "We are pleased to be working with AvantGo to deliver integrated, server-based software solutions that efficiently enables access to corporate data from handheld and wireless devices. We believe this collaboration further demonstrates our leadership in connecting handheld devices to Microsoft Exchange and Outlook(R).

"Chapura has a reputation for delivering some of the most sophisticated technology for accessing Microsoft Exchange information," said Rob Meinhardt, vice president enterprise marketing for AvantGo, Inc. "We are excited to have licensed this technology from Chapura."
