e-DOCS.net (OTCBB:EDOC) announced today the prototype wireless version of the e-DOCS Physician Network (EPN) on the Palm(TM) Operating System. Thought Interactive of Austin, Texas, which has built the custom applications of the e-DOCS Physician Network (EPN), will demonstrate the wireless capabilities of the EPN at Interactive Texas today at the Austin Convention Center.
Andrew Dillon, CEO of Thought Interactive, stated, "We're thrilled to announce our partnership with e-DOCS on the impending launch of the e-DOCS Physician Network. e-DOCS wanted Thought Interactive to combine the best in current wireless technology and apply it to their e-business and the impressive range of services that e-DOCS offers its physician members. Thought Interactive designed and is implementing these custom applications in a six month window from conception to launch."
Tim Connolly, chairman of e-DOCS, added "The physician community has clearly indicated a demand for the Palm(TM) handheld as a wireless tool for hospital rounds, office visits and lab results, among other items. The wireless Palm(TM) version of the EPN will allow remote downloading and uploading of documents instantly, as well as capturing the physicians hand written notes on the Palm(TM) at the point of patient contact. We believe this will fulfill a major requirement of physicians, and greatly appreciate Thought Interactive's contribution in producing this unique service for e-DOCS."
