Motorola to Demonstrate In-Home Wireless High-Speed Networking at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) Conference

Motorola's (NYSE: MOT) Broadband Communications Sector today announced that it will be participating in a high- speed, wireless home-networking demonstration at the Intel Developer Forum Conference (IDF 2000). Motorola will be demonstrating as part of the Practical Applications of HomeRF Demo Session on Wednesday, August 23, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. (San Jose Convention Center, San Jose, CA).

This event will showcase the sharing of data and multiple voice streams at many times the speed of dial-up, all without wires. Viewers will be able to see the convenience and new array of data, voice, and entertainment services made possible by wireless home networking.

The IDF demonstration will employ Motorola's new AL 200 multi-user DOCSIS- based cable modem with built-in HomeRF networking.
