Socket Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:SCKT) today announced a new version of the company's market leading Digital Phone Card wireless connectivity kit that supports Web-ready mobile CDMA handsets from Motorola's popular StarTAC(R), Timeport(tm), Talkabout(R) and V. Series(tm) product lines.
The kit simplifies connecting these mobile phones to any Windows-powered Pocket PC or notebook or Apple PowerBook for instant wireless Internet access, email or remote networking.
The Motorola CDMA handsets supported by the new version of the Digital Phone Card are compatible with the digital wireless networks of Sprint PCS, Verizon Wireless, Bell Mobility, Telus Mobility and other wireless carriers in the U.S. and Canada.

The new Digital Phone Card connection kit includes a CompactFlash Type I card that plugs into any Windows-powered Pocket PC, an attached cable that connects to a variety of Motorola mobile phones, and a PC Card adapter for using the kit with Windows-based handheld PCs, pen tablets and notebooks and with Apple PowerBooks. The kit is available from Socket's resellers in the U.S. and Canada and has a suggested retail price of $139 US.
