TEOCO Corporation's New Software Methodology Cuts Web and Wireless Application Development Time in Half

DREAM Technology(TM) Highlighted at NetExpo Show in Washington, D.C.

TEOCO Corporation -- The Employee Owned Company -- announced today that it has begun the commercial packaging of its new methodology for developing Web and wireless e-business applications. DREAM - Dynamic Rapid Enterprise Application Method - where all system elements (presentation, business logic and data) are data driven and configurable - allows for the rapid development of applications with minimal coding expertise and for the deployment of business systems to Web and wireless devices.

TEOCO previewed its DREAM Technology at NetExpo, August 16 and 17 in Washington, D.C., and is currently scheduled to formally launch the packaged technology, methodology and application development toolkit and related services in Q1 2001.

The DREAM Technology is a component-based architecture that provides a scalable, reliable, and high-performance foundation for delivering e-business solutions with secure access and content delivery functionality across multiple communications platforms, including Web and wireless devices. The new offering integrates document-based and data driven interfaces with access control and workflow technology to allow both interface generation and content control. TEOCO developers have used sound development practices for DREAM such as n-tiered design and component-based development to build Web and wireless-enabled e-business systems.

"We have been using DREAM internally, to deliver successful Web and wireless e-business applications to our Fortune 500 customer base," said Joe Cardinale, TEOCO General Manager. "PageNgine(TM), our publishing and content management application, was built using DREAM which allowed for the introduction of create once, deliver anywhere capability to support concurrent delivery of HTML, XML and WML content. By packaging DREAM for end-user licensing we are extending to our customers and alliance partners this same capability to develop applications in less time, at lower cost with reduced risk."

Delivery of all e-business applications to any device - cell phone, PDA and PC - is standard using DREAM. The DREAM toolkit will be available for building solutions in-house through a direct licensing agreement from TEOCO. DREAM-based custom application development services will also be available from TEOCO and its authorized alliance partners.
