w-Trade Technologies, a global provider of mobile business applications, today announced support for the Handspring(TM) (NASDAQ: HAND) Visor(TM) line of handhelds via the internal infrared modem, providing an additional platform from which users can access w-Trade Technologies' 19 mobile commerce, content, finance and communication applications. Companies who implement a w-Trade Technologies' wireless solution can further meet the needs of its mobile customers by enabling access to mission-critical applications at any time on the Visor family of handhelds.

According to Dataquest, global sales for handheld computers will grow in the next three years to 22 million units worth $7.2 billion. The Handspring Visor line of handhelds are expandable, easy-to-use pocket-sized computers that allow users to instantly turn an organizer into a music player, a wireless modem, or even a pager through the unique Springboard(TM) expansion slot. PC Data, a retail market research firm, reported that in its first weeks in retail stores, the Handspring Visor was the top-selling palmtop device. Based on the Palm OS, the Visor handheld contains tools to organize personal and business information, and it is ready to run thousands of existing applications.
