WIDCOMM Becomes Associate Member of Bluetooth SIG; WIDCOMM to play larger role in SIG

WIDCOMM Inc. announced today that the company has been selected as an Associate Member of the Bluetooth(TM) Special Interest Group (SIG). An early adopter and active member of the Bluetooth SIG, WIDCOMM has been chosen to play an increased role in the organization. WIDCOMM is a wireless networking technology company based in San Diego and is a leader in Bluetooth wireless technology.

"We're honored that WIDCOMM has been chosen as an Associate Member of the Bluetooth SIG," said Hiep Pham, WIDCOMM President and CEO. "The SIG has recognized WIDCOMM's dedication to the development of Bluetooth technology, as evidenced by our participation in the various Working Groups."

The SIG invites companies to apply for Associate Membership. An original Bluetooth Promoter Group member must sponsor the Associate Membership. Companies are chosen based on their technical expertise, and their dedication of resources to the research and promotion of Bluetooth wireless technology. As an Associate Member of SIG, WIDCOMM Inc. will help drive the standards process for Bluetooth wireless technology.
