Ericsson and NCC have concluded a long-term, agreement regarding thebuild-out of telecom and data communication networks, including 3G. 

The companies will jointly offer turnkey system solutions, including serviceand maintenance, for the build-out of these networks .

"I view this agreement with Ericsson as a first important step in theeffort to secure NCC's role as a leading player in the development, expansion and servicing of the information infrastructure of the future,"says Jan Sjöqvist, NCC's Chief Executive Officer. "We're currentlyimplementing considerable investments within NCC TeleCom to enable a focusing of operations and a mobilizing of resources within this high-priority area.

 NCC TeleCom will serve as an essential bridge for the NCCGroup's progress in the new economy.""Ericsson is the world leader of UMTS technology and NCC is a leadingactor in management of large and complex projects, which gives us a marketadvantage with major opportunities for both companies, " says MelkerNorlund, Vice President, Division Global Services, Ericsson.In the agreement that has now been concluded, Ericsson and NCC willjointly market, offer, build and maintain communication systems within thetelecommunication area, as well as data and image transmission. This willalso involve considerable exchanges of knowledge between the partners, including the joint development of processes and procedures
