IncTools Adds ``Notes'' to PDA Sync Capability

IncTools announced today that it has developed the capability to add the Notes feature of Palm-protocol PDA's to its internet-hosted intranet service.

IncTools had previously announced a synchronization capability for the Calendar and Contacts functions of the Palm-protocol PDA's, including Palm Pilot and Handspring brand devices, providing hand-held access to the data residing on the users' IncTools site. The standard HotSync interface is used, making it immediately usable by anyone familiar with out-of-the-box Palm synchronization.

Tim Dumler, IncTools Vice President for Product Development, who has been instrumental in developing new access methods, including PDA synchronization and the recently announced voice recognition capability, said: "IncTools will continue its rapid development of user interfaces to accommodate the rapid changes in user technology. This year alone, we have developed and expanded PDA synchronization, added wireless application protocol capability and voice recognition." Dumler said that IncTools developed its synchronization around the Palm protocol because Palm and its offspring control over 80% of the PDA market worldwide."

IncTools offers a web-based suite of communication services, which allows employees of small- to medium-sized companies an easy, low-cost way to communicate and collaborate on company projects from anywhere an internet connection can be made.
