Pumatech's Mobile Application Platform Powers YadaYada's Mobile Portal

Pumatech's MAP Technologies Provide YadaYada Users With Highly Relevant Information Via Palm(TM)Platform-Compatible Handhelds

YadaYada, creator of the first mobile Web portal and Internet access platform that integrates mobile applications, content and wireless connectivity, today announced a multi-million dollar agreement with Pumatech, Inc. (NASDAQ: PUMA), the leading provider of the essential software infrastructure for The Anywhere Internet. YadaYada announced that it is building its portal based on Pumatech's complete Mobile Application Platform (MAP) solution. MAP, the common server platform on which Pumatech has built its new mobile solutions, will provide YadaYada with a single source for synchronization of email, personal contacts and calendar information between the users' Palm platform-compatible handhelds and their desktops. Additionally, Pumatech is giving YadaYada users the ability to browse virtually any Internet site via their handheld devices, and the capability to track personalized information on the Internet and receive alerts when that information changes.

"Many people have multiple ways of tracking information - via PalmPilot(TM) handheld organizers, notebooks, their desktops, and more. The challenge is keeping all the information in sync and up-to-date. We chose Pumatech as the most comprehensive, most proven and seamless solution on which to base our mobile portal and keep people in sync with their critical information," stated Raj Gupta, president and founder of YadaYada.

"The relationship with YadaYada illustrates how our MAP technologies are enabling ISPs to enhance their mobile Web offerings and extend their content reach to a variety of devices," said Pumatech President and CEO Brad Rowe. "By leveraging our comprehensive platform, YadaYada is able to grant its users access to highly relevant information - everything from an important phone number or email, to notification of a flight delay, to content from virtually any Web site, exactly when and where they need it, via any Palm OS-compatible device."

MAP will deliver "anytime, anywhere" access to YadaYada customers who rely on the service for professional or personal use, and adds the key benefit of instant notification of relevant Web information via Palm-compatible handhelds and PCs.
