PurchasePro.com (Nasdaq:PPRO), a leading enabler of business-to-business e-commerce for companies of all sizes, today announced the launch of its wireless communication solution, "PurchasePro Anywhere(TM)."
The technology will enable PurchasePro.com's customer base -- one of the largest in the industry -- to conduct e-commerce functions anywhere at anytime using Web-enabled phones, PDAs (personal digital assistants) and pocket PCs. The company is making this new service available, at no additional charge, to the 25,000 businesses and approximately 160 private-labeled marketplaces currently buying and selling on PurchasePro.com.
Buyers throughout the PurchasePro.com global network will now have instant access to notification of purchase order submittals, and suppliers can receive notification of request for quotes and new purchase orders from buyers on their wireless devices, without having to log on to the Internet.
PurchasePro.com partnered with ClickServices, a leading provider of Internet and intranet infrastructure, to create this wireless interface. ClickServices' Wireless Communication Platform enables PurchasePro.com's customers to communicate with any wireless device on any network through any carrier, reaching 99 percent of all wireless devices.

This advanced solution lessens communication barriers by allowing PurchasePro.com's businesses to access requests for quotes and purchase orders from their wireless applications outside the confines of their offices.

PurchasePro.com intends to add an interactive application that allows businesses to approve or reject purchase orders and requests for quotes from their wireless appliances; other enhancements include customizable Web content such as stock quotes, news and other information.
ClickServices' multi-language format supports a variety of languages such as Italian, Chinese, Dutch, French and German, which PurchasePro.com hopes to use to augment its recently announced entry into the international market.
