CalendarCentral and GadgetSpace Bring Enterprise Scheduling and Calendaring to Mobile Workers

CalendarCentral, the only Web-based enterprise calendar designed to deliver 3-D collaboration, announced today a strategic partnership with GadgetSpace, a provider of infrastructure and services for rapid delivery of existing enterprise software applications to any wireless device.

The partnership enables both companies to offer wireless users enterprise scheduling capabilities from a wide range of Web-enabled wireless devices, including phones, PDA's, Palm-based devices, automobiles and other specialty wireless devices.

"With the wireless revolution bringing a new level of mobility to computing and to businesses in general, having access to time-sensitive information, such as your enterprise calendar, at the touch of a cell phone or other mobile device is a natural. Through the GadgetSpace MobileMediary, CalendarCentral is able to instantly re-purpose its existing Web-based applications with broad appeal for wireless use," said Karl Schlatzer, chief marketing officer at GadgetSpace.

Offering The Big Picture On a Small Screen

CalendarCentral provides the only Web-based calendar capable of enabling 3-D collaboration across organizational boundaries. The software features multi-dimensional views for users to manage milestones, deliverables, and events from a web browser.

"Our calendar's unique 3-dimensional filtering capability combined with GadgetSpace's wireless technology will allow mobile users to view information specific to their needs," said Dennis Phillips, president and CEO at CalendarCentral. "Direct access to relevant information is an important advantage when dealing with the small screens on today's wireless devices."

Mobile users can now gain 24x7 access to crucial, time critical information associated with a particular product, project, business location, or partner, allowing them to easily align individual milestones with business requirements.

The First "MobileMediary(TM)"

GadgetSpace's MobileMediary service has immediate value to enterprise organizations that have invested in a first wave of Internet solutions. These companies have already absorbed the time and expense of re-engineering their business processes for Internet-based access. GadgetSpace offers an "instant" path to wireless use of the enterprise content, data and services, including those organizations that are using an Application Service Provider (ASP) model to host and execute their applications.

There has been a substantial investment in Internet-enabled infrastructure, estimated by Internet Research Group at $153 billion in 1999. The implementation of Internet-enabled systems has been driven by various strategic enterprise initiatives, including customer relationship management, partner relationship management, supply chain management, sales force automation and Internet marketplace integration. GadgetSpace offers the ability to leverage these initiatives in new ways, reaching mobile constituents in an extremely cost-effective manner and deriving substantial ROI from existing investments.
