Mi8 Corporation Enables Palm Users to Wirelessly Access 'Netsourced' Microsoft Outlook & Exchange

Leading ASP Implements ThinAirApps Solution to Provide Wireless Access to Advanced Messaging and Collaboration Tools

Mi8 Corporation, the leading application service provider (ASP) for small and mid-size organizations, today announced the availability of its newest wireless solution for Palm users. This solution enables wireless access to the collaborative work environments of Microsoft(R) Outlook(TM) & Exchange - email, tasks, contacts, public folders and calendars - from Palm Vx and Palm VII handhelds. Palm currently has over 70% of the market share in handheld devices.

"Handheld computers are moving beyond personal productivity tools to become part of the corporate computing infrastructure, causing many of our existing customers to request wireless access to the software applications that we have deployed for them," said Dave Castellani, CEO of Mi8 Corp. "Our wireless solutions extend our core mission of helping organizations enhance productivity and reduce costs, while enabling them to remain focused on their core business activities."

Mi8 is using ThinAirApps LLC's ThinAir Server to enable its 'Netsourcing' customers to access their Outlook & Exchange environment from their Palm device. This gives users the familiar look and feel of Microsoft Outlook and enables them to manipulate their business information remotely, anytime.

"Wireless technology is presenting businesses of all sizes with different challenges," said Mark Flaherty, director of marketing at ThinAirApps. "It is logical for small to mid-size companies to look to a company like Mi8, whose 'Netsourcing' services already offer them enormous benefits, to tackle the wireless challenge."

This Palm-based solution expands Mi8's current portfolio of wireless solutions, including the Blackberry mobile email solution from Research in Motion (RIM) and Infowave's wireless laptop solution. Additional wireless offerings will be forthcoming.
