New Product Offers Vacationers Travel Information and Tips Via Palm Devices

Weissmann Travel Reports, neohand, inc. to Provide Travelers with Critical Information via Palm OS (R) Organizers

The leading providers of destination information and of travel software for handheld devices have teamed up to offer electronic city guides on the popular Palm OS(R) organizers.

Weissmann Travel Reports(R), Austin, Tex., a division of Cahners Travel Group and the leading provider of critical destination content for the travel industry, and neohand, inc., Chicago, Ill., the leading developer of lifestyle applications for handheld devices, are now offering comprehensive guides to 57 ports of call around the globe.

Information covers such areas as attractions, dining, recreation, resources, shopping, transportation, culture notes, and port information.

Weissmann Ports & Resorts profiles are priced at $9.95 each and are downloadable from a standard PC with an Internet connection from the neohand website (http://neohand.com) and Handango (http://handango.com), the leading leading handheld and wireless computing software solutions provider. The entire process - from connecting to a site to walking out the door with the city profile loaded into a handheld PC - takes less than five minutes and uses 80-100KB of space.

The new Weissmann Ports & Resorts series joins the popular Weissmann City Profiles, a previous collaboration between Weissmann Travel Reports and neohand that resulted in 55 electronic city guides designed for business travelers.

According to David E. Horwich, president and CEO of neohand, "Our aim is to make it easy as possible for business travelers and vacationers to get around. Imagine being able to store all you need to know about a place in a six-ounce device, instead of having to pack several heavy books. All of a sudden you've lightened your load considerably."

The Weissmann City Profiles are compatible with most Palm organizer products, including the Palm III, Palm V, Palm VII and m100 series of devices, as well as the Handspring Visor family of devices and the Sony Clie.
