Red-M Joins Forces With Key Tools to Provide Mobile CRM Solutions

Red-M(TM), a pioneering developer of Bluetooth network solutions and subsidiary of Madge Networks N.V. (NASDAQ NM: MADGF), is joining forces with Key Tools, a value added reseller of Palm OS mobile solutions, to deliver innovative applications using Bluetooth, the emergent short-range wireless technology.

Red-M was the first company to announce Bluetooth network product solutions on October 16, 2000. The company's innovative solution includes the 3000AS access server that provides reliable and secure mobile access to the Internet and local Intranet from Bluetooth-enabled devices. The 3000AS, combined with Red-M's 1000AP access point, enables a Bluetooth network to be provided inside a building or public concourse for the delivery of next generation mobile services across a wide range of applications.

Key Tools will combine Red-M's 3000AS access servers with Palm OS technology provide mobile CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solutions enabling effortless distribution of corporate and customer information, efficient maintenance of customer records, instant delivery of up to date information to clients, and the streamlining of stock inventory processes using Bluetooth.

Richard Bryce-Chalk, MD, Key Tools, comments, "Red-M's technology will enable more effective delivery of services over PDAs where the instant access and delivery of up to date information is vital, resulting in a more closely targeted and efficient service to the end-user. This Bluetooth technology opens up new and exciting markets for the Key Tools Group and we feel our partnership with Red-M will be one of extreme value."

Simon Gawne, VP of Marketing and Business Development at Red-M, says, "We believe Bluetooth technology is set to bring substantial benefits across many diverse market sectors. We are pleased to be working alongside Key Tools to pioneer the integration of this advanced wireless technology with Palm OS devices."

Red-M expects to ship product to initial customers in November 2000.
