SNAZ Commerce Solutions extends its m-wallet to i-mode Devices

With NTT DoCoMo's i-mode (NYSE:NTT), users have a continuous wireless connection to the Internet for a relatively low cost. The end user only pays for content that is downloaded, not time spent surfing the net. The low cost accompanied with the "always connected" functionality has enabled i-mode to dominate the market.  In fact, as of September 2000, there were over 11 million i-mode subscribers in Japan with approximately 50,000 to 60, 000 new users signing on every day.

SNAZ Commerce Solutions (www.snaz.com), a global wireless commerce provider announced today that it will launch an i-mode interface for its m-wallet next month. With its i-mode offering, SNAZ is now the most comprehensive Commerce platform in the market today, offering its m-wallet with the capability of single-click transaction on a private label basis to Carriers and Mobile Portals through PDA, WAP, SMS, i-mode and web devices in the US and in Europe.

"Our i-mode product is important because it enables the SNAZ m-wallet to be compatible with all Wireless access technologies available today. We see i-mode penetrating the European and US markets very quickly as players like AOL in the US and KPN in Europe have formed strategic alliances with NTT DoCoMo, which pioneered this technology for the Japanese market,” said Ravi Chachra, CEO and Chairman, SNAZ Commerce Solutions.

SNAZ’s i-mode solution is currently undergoing Beta testing in Europe and is expected to be released later this year. The solution will initially be offered to carriers and mobile portals in the US and in Europe.

SNAZ is exhibiting at CTIA's Wireless I.T. 2000 Event, Booth #902, October 16-18, 2000 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA.
