2Roam, iQ.COM and Engage Deploy Wireless Web Couponing

Clip and Redeem Jiffy Lube Coupons from Handheld Devices on myGeek.com

2Roam, an innovative wireless Web solutions provider, iQ.COM(TM), the leading eMarketing infrastructure provider, and Engage, Inc.(Nasdaq:ENGA), the industry source for both interactive media and enterprise marketing software, today announced the live delivery of electronic coupons to wireless devices. Available now through December 31, 2000 on any wireless Web handheld device via the myGeek.com wireless Web site, the initial pilot campaign offers a five dollar discount on Jiffy Lube Signature Service(R) at service centers in Boston, Houston, Miami, Memphis, Philadelphia, Sacramento and West Palm Beach. Wireless couponing is a cutting-edge marketing tool that monetizes the wireless Web and allows both e-businesses and advertisers to deliver highly-targeted promotions.

When the user visits the myGeek.com wireless site and clicks on the Jiffy Lube(R) ad, a coupon is presented offering five dollars off on Jiffy Lube Signature Service. The user then saves the coupon on his or her wireless device. To redeem the coupon, the user simply stops by a participating Jiffy Lube service center, presents the coupon code on the wireless device and receives the discount on the spot.

"Wireless Web users are the perfect target audience for Jiffy Lube services. Mobile people on the go with little free time to spare appreciate the fast, reliable signature services that we provide," said Marc Graham, president, Jiffy Lube International. "This unique wireless couponing initiative will deliver instant discounts to wherever wireless Web users may be -- even in their cars. We expect this campaign will help us realize new business and drive sales."

The 2Roam Catalyst Wireless Server(TM) will act as the hub of the initiative. When the user visits the myGeek.com wireless Web site, the 2Roam Catalyst Wireless Server alerts Engage to display the one-line Jiffy Lube teaser. As soon as the user clicks on the Jiffy Lube teaser, 2Roam immediately notifies iQ.COM, which in turn sends the electronic coupon to 2Roam and on to the end user's handheld device. 2Roam supports cookies and anonymous, privacy-protected profiling to ensure that wireless users will only receive targeted and relevant advertisements.

"Wireless devices are changing the way that eBusinesses think about their overall marketing strategies because the technology enables them to reach their target customers anywhere, even at the point of sale," said Tom Jackson, CEO of 2Roam. "As the one of the first live wireless couponing initiatives, this pilot program will reach customers in the ideal location at the ideal time -- people in their cars driving by Jiffy Lube. The marketing potential for wireless coupons is very promising: imagine receiving useful promotions for items like coffee and groceries when you are standing in line at the coffee shop or the grocery store."

"This wireless couponing initiative gives companies like Jiffy Lube the unique opportunity to study customer behavior using wireless marketing," said Richard Mandeberg, iQ.COM's president and CEO. "Because couponing transforms the wireless device into a direct response medium, we will be able to track the redemption rate and collect valuable data on the efficacy of wireless promotions."

"Participating in this ground-breaking campaign is part of our wireless pilot, as we evaluate extending our business model into the wireless space," said Jonathan Fox, Engage's director of business development. "We chose to be a part of this initiative because we feel that wireless coupons offer our customers a compelling opportunity to build their brands and increase revenue."

The 2Roam Wireless Website Toolkit(TM) is comprised of the 2Roam Nomad Wireless Publisher(TM), the 2Roam Catalyst Wireless Server and a host of revenue generating value-added services. The Toolkit offers enterprises and Web site businesses the opportunity to add secure mobile-commerce transactions, targeted advertising and graphical images to their online presence without re-coding or rebuilding the existing site. Unlike other solutions, 2Roam's Nomad client-side software gives the producer control of the site content while the Catalyst Wireless Server optimizes content delivery to all types of wireless devices using any protocol or language.
