Action Engine, Maritz Travel Company Join Forces to Offer Personalized Services Via the Wireless Web

Partnership Enables Mobile Professionals To Purchase Travel Services Instantly Without Browsing or Searching the Internet. Action Engine has chosen Maritz Travel Company as its primary travel fulfillment and reservation partner.

Action Engine will integrate Maritz eCom Solutions into the company's e-sistant(TM) service application as a travel feature, thus enabling users to book domestic and international travel using most wireless Internet devices. Users can complete each transaction quickly, without having to browse or search the Web. Action Engine will Beta test e-sistant services over the next six months, with the full launch of e-sistant scheduled for Spring of 2001.

For each travel request, e-sistant will aggregate necessary information through a simple question-and-answer interface on the user's wireless Internet device. The service application will complete the transaction and provide confirmation within minutes. e-sistant will monitor the travel itinerary details over time to adjust for possible schedule changes. With each transaction, e-sistant also learns the user's travel preferences, allowing enhanced personalization of future itineraries. Maritz' eCom Solutions suite includes Internet-powered travel options and tools designed specifically to assist travelers in easy electronic ticketing and booking.

"Maritz brings the global reach and reliability necessary to make e-sistant services a success," said Craig Eisler, chief executive officer of Action Engine. "Business travel can be the bane of a mobile professional's existence. Rather than dealing with delays and changes, you want a reliable service that is easy and flexible. The wireless nature of e-sistant offers the always-on access and instant notification necessary to make flexible travel a reality."

"This is an exciting opportunity to increase Maritz' position in the wireless technology space, as well as extend our reach to the millions of travelers who are coming to rely more and more on electronic bookings and handheld, wireless devices," said Mike Tenholder, vice president, Alternative Distribution at Maritz Travel.
