agentGO Joins Mobile Data Initiative Next Generation Program

Program Backed by Industry Leaders Including Dell, HP, Intel & Motorola

agentGO, the leading mobile decision support solutions provider, today announced it has joined the Mobile Data Initiative Next Generation (MDI-ng) program.

The program, founded by Intel Corporation and other industry leaders, was formed to make wireless Internet/Intranet access as simple and as commonplace as data over fixed wires. Any type of device should, by interoperability, be able to access any information or application in a scalable fashion.

MDI-ng is committed to supporting the growing range of wireless devices, from handsets to computers, so that they will work together seamlessly, and use services that automatically fit to any type of user and their chosen technology. agentGO's decision support solutions support any device, any network, and any application server, and seamlessly integrate with an enterprise's legacy systems.

"The MDI-ng initiative is an important step towards cross-industry wireless services, solutions and standards," said Enrique Ortiz, director of Wireless Applications of agentGO. "MDI-ng is another example of agentGO leadership as it joins other mobile computing leaders in paving the way for effective decision support solutions for mobile workers."

Objectives of MDI-ng include:

-- Identifying and removing technical and market challenges/barriers to wireless connectivity for mobile devices/users.

-- Defining and promoting usage models. Rolling out bundled solutions.

-- Defining and setting up workshops to test out interoperability
